The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015 form a blueprint agreed to by all the worlds countries and all the worlds leading development institutions. They have galvanized unprecedented efforts to meet the needs of the worlds poorest.

This is the daily life of those in Brazil who struggle to feed their families and themselves, from the waste we create.

The Violence Intervention Project, alongside East Metro Youth Services, provided the opportunity for a group of youth to band together and develop an ideal solution to the UN Millennium Development Goals. Spending their summer researching on the current affairs in the world, they summoned up all their feelings and thoughts into portraying a sense of hope through video, pictures, and music. This message, we feel, will spark change and touch many more youth and embark us on a inevitable journey to heal our world.  read more »
