Since landing on Toronto’s fashion scene, Dylan has been building a strong reputation off his signature polished and precision styling. His artistic vision, bold technique and incredible versatility have generated sensational editorials and covers, while catapulting him into the metropolitan stylist he is today.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Dylan was a natural talent creating avant-garde hairstyles at a young age. Using his unique skills as an avenue to express his individuality and creativity, Dylan soon found himself working on both freelance jobs and in top salons.
The journey of this young artist led him to London, England to further pursue his dreams. Armed with only a kit in hand, steadfast determination and ambition, Dylan was quickly represented by one of the UK’s most established commercial agencies. Developing his craft as a seasoned session stylist, Dylan’s impressive client list grew to include Kiera Knightly, Pamela Anderson, supermodels and royalty.
After making his mark in London, Dylan returned to the burgeoning Canadian fashion scene. It wasn’t before long that Dylan’s editorial work in Toronto was recognized as Best Fashion Editorial at the 2006 ADCC Awards (Advertising & Design Club of Canada).
In the same year, Dylan was handpicked by Proctor & Gamble to be the spokesperson for Herbal Essence Canada. His passion for beauty education was pivotal in supporting the brand’s reinvention of their popular consumer line. After appearing in TV spots, writing advice columns and dolling out celebrity hairstyling tips, Herbal Essence was eager to re-sign the stylist who helped them achieve their success.
Throughout his notable career, Dylan has collaborated with numerous internationally acclaimed photographers, such as: Nigel Perry, Mark Liddell, Nino Munoz, Lorenzo Agius, Gabor Jurina, Chris Nichols, and Lee Strickland. These collaborations have produced several stunning covers and editorial pages of influential fashion publications, including: Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Glamour, F.Q., Flair, Elle, Arena, and G.Q. Dylan’s roster of top beauty brands and fashion labels include such renowned names as: Herbal Essences, Revlon, Maxfactor, M.A.C., Giles Deacon, Christian Lacroix, Cacharal, and Big Star.
With his impressive resume and notable experience in wigs and extensions, it’s no surprise that Dylan has been complimented time and time again on his ability to deliver versatile hair and make-up looks on TV spots, ad campaigns, music videos, fashion shows and celebrities.
