“American Idol” fans know that Simon Cowell is no longer in the seat of judgment. But now just about everyone is abandoning ship. First, Ellen DeGeneres came forward with news that she is leaving the show. Not only that, but according to the L.A. Times, Kara DioGuardi has been kicked to the curb. Despite all the times that it wasn't lupus on House MD, sometimes it really is. Lady Gaga recently revealed that she is being tested for it and thinks she might have it. The disease is thought to have a genetic component, and family members of hers have it. It's a chronic disease, and though lupus is far from the worst one to get, treatment is critical. Lupus in an autoimmune disease, and could be deadly.

Legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio has passed away at the age of 67. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009. He was a legend of hard rock and heavy metal music. He had previously been the lead singer of Black Sabbath and Rainbow and achieved success with his solo efforts. Along with the recent passing of Peter Steele, this has so far been a bad year for metal.
